Meet Our New London North Franchisee Owners: Andrei and Ioana Grigore
Perhaps London, Ontario’s biggest modern moment in the sun was the night American Country music icon Johnny Cash proposed to his wife, June Carter Cash, onstage at the London Gardens. This was the site of the famous April 26th, 1965, fifteen-minute Rolling Stone Concert.
Right on the heels of this big news is our big announcement.
Hickory Dickory Decks is thrilled to welcome to its franchise team, Andrei and Ioana Grigore. In June of 2023, Grigore took the plunge into franchise ownership when he stepped aboard in the London North Territory.
London, Ontario, sits on the Thames River and was founded in 1826. It is one of the largest urban municipalities in the province. It is home to Western University, the London Knights, and Guy Lombardo, who was born in London in 1902.
Originally from Romania, Grigore immigrated to Canada and Saskatchewan specifically in 2006 along with his wife, Ioana, and daughter, Monica. He has been in the building business ever since. He flips properties, all while doing his own renovations.
Getting his feet wet in the decking business while working outside of it, Grigore has hired a very capable manager for his new venture. Chris Burke has come on board to run his Hickory Dickory Decks franchise, and Grigore is confident in Burke’s work and commitment to the company. Burke already has several years of experience under the Hickory Dickory Decks banner.
Grigore moved to London North in 2009. London, Ontario, has more than 400,000 other people who call this southwestern Ontario city home. Grigore is excited to turn many of these residents into happy Hickory Dickory Decks customers.
